FORD NOW OFFERS AN INNOVATIVE SERVICE PRICE CALCULATOR

Ford South Africa’s customer service division has launched an online service price calculator specifically for Ranger models, designed to generate a quotation for your vehicle’s next service before taking it to a dealership.

This customer convenience initiative ensures complete price transparency on vehicle servicing costs, while modernising the customer experience and building trust between Ford and its customers. The calculator allows customers to compare quotes between more than 100 Ford dealers, while also assisting them to budget accordingly.

Simplified solutions

Ford is committed to modernising their systems within the service sector with the aim of more simplified solutions and customer care. By giving customers more control and transparency, Ford are hoping that customers will continue to service their vehicles at Ford dealerships.

The online price calculator, which currently on covers Ranger models, will be expanded to include all Ford models. The calculator will give customers the option of using Ford genuine parts or where possible, the more cost effective Motorcraft parts. Motorcraft parts are an alternative to Ford approved parts that are engineered to original equipment specification.

Once the quote has been generated and a booking has been made, it can be taken to the relevant dealer who will carry out the service work at the quoted price.

How to get started

The process is as simple as logging on to www.ford.co.za/owner/service-price-calculator/ and entering some key vehicle details such as year model and mileage. The Online Service Price Calculator will generate a quote showing the breakdown of parts and labour costs.

Ford believes that this innovative technology will make it easier for customers to make informed decsions about their vehicle servicing needs.

Ford will also be rolling out an Express Service offering. This will allow customers to book a specific service timeslot and have their vehicle serviced within 60 minutes by two trained technicians, working on the vehcile in tandem.
